This Museum of Ancient Chinese Art, located in the People¡¯s Square, has a very unique exterior design. It comprises of a square base covered with a round dome representing a round heaven over square land. The museum is divided into eleven galleries and three exhibition halls. The eleven Galleries cover most of the major types of Chinese art: Ancient Bronze, Ancient Ceramics, Paintings, Calligraphy, Ancient Sculpture, Ancient Jade, Coins, Ming and Qing Furniture, Seals, and Minority Nationalities. You will find art from each Chinese dynasty and even some artwork from the Neolithic age. Chinese painting and calligraphy are great to visit to witness the unique Chinese painting and calligraphy style. Chinese culture is a result of the melding and collaboration of many nationalities so you will also find evidence of other cultures and ethnicities from the art in this museum.
