Itinerary
D1:Arrival in Lijiang (D)
Sightseeing : Lijiang Old Town
Upon arrival at Lijiang Airport; your local guide will meet u. And then you will be transferred to your hotel.
After checking in the hotel, you will wisit Black Dragon Pool & the Dongba Museum to explore the rich Naxi minority culture. Then walk around in Lijiang Old Town.
--Lijiang Old Town, which was a famous city in the past, is located Northwest of Yunnan Province, blessed with beautiful scenery. The old town has a long history, and a brilliant culture. It’s also an old city of national minorities rarely found in China, which has been preserved intact.
D2:Lijiang-Qiaotou–Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge (B/L)
Sightseeing:the upper Tiger Leaping Gorge, Halfway Guesthouse, Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge
Trekking Duration:4 hours.
At 6:00, drive to Qiaotou Town, it takes 2 hours on the trip. There are some trekking trails in Tiger Leaping Gorge. Today you will drive to the 14KM signal Pile, and start the trekking to Halfway Guesthouse (1.5 hours), and have lunch there.
After lunch continue hiking to Tina's Inn (2.5 hours) after another hour walking down the steep cliff to the bank of Jinsha River to the Middle Gorge (Middle Hutiao or Middle Rapids), worship the dangerous shoal of "Starriness", it is the most narrow part of the gorge, where a tiger can easily jump over the Jinsha River. After check in, you can walk along the road and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
D3:Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge-New Daju Ferry-Jade Dragon Snow Mountain–Lijiang (B/L)
Sightseeing:Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge, Daju Town Ferry , Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Trekking Duration:3hours.
After early breakfast at Tina’s Guesthouse, you will walk along the road to a Naxi village called Walnut Grove Garden at the back of Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge. Then cross the Yangtze River at New Daju Ferry.You will continue the trekking to Daju Town, a small Naxi Ethnic Town surrounded by Yangtze River.
You will have lunch at Daju Town, and then drive back to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and take the chairlift to visit the Yak Meadow, which is 3700M above the sea level. Here is the best location to enjoy the whole Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Late afternoon drive back to Lijiang and you will be relaxed in Lijiang Old Town.
D4:Lijiang-Luguhu Lake (B/L)
Sightseeing:Shudi Yangtze Canon Walking, Yi villages, Liwubi Island and Snake Islet of Luguhu Lake.
Special Experience:Enjoy Mosuo Bonfire Party at night.
In the morning, dive 6 hrs on the spectacle mountain road to visit the mysterious Lugu Lake. On the way, enjoy the beautiful view among the huge mountains and rivers. We plan to start your walking from Jin’anqiao Bridge to Shudi along the road at the bank of Yangtze River. you will see the beautiful canon and Yi ethnic people’s villages in the steep mountains. After 1 hour walking in the canon, we will continue the driving and we can stop in many Yi villages.
Late afternoon, you will take the canoes to visit Liwubi Island and Snake Islet in Lugu Lake.
In the evening, take part in Mosuo Bonfire Party with ethnic dance and singing performance.You will dance and sing with Mosuo boys and girls around a big bonfire in the outdoors theatre.
D5:Luguhu Lake(B/L)
Sightseeing:the Zhamei Lamaist Monastery and Mosuo Market,Mosuo Ethnic Home-made.
Special Experience:Take a special Barbecue dinner in the village.
In the morning, you will drive about 20Km to vist the Zhamei Lamaist Monastery and Mosuo Market in Yongning Town. We will arrange a Mosuo family to visit and have lunch in Mosuo family, enjoy the Mosuo real life in thevillage.
Afternoon, you will walk along the Luguhu Lake by yourself.Enjoy the sunset wonder of Luguhu Lake in Luoshui Village.Take a special Barbecue dinner with beef,mutton,pork,fish, frog,and some vagitables in the Barbecue City.
D6:Luguhu Lake-Lijiang (B/L)
Sightseeing:Luguhu Lake, Pumi Ethnic Village,Lijiang Old Town
In the early morning, you will drive drive back to Lijiang.One the way to Ninglang Town,you will stop to visit a Pumi Ethnic Village and Pumi Family.The ancestors of Pumi were a nomadic tribe living in the southern part of Gansu Province and the eastern part of Qinghai Province. Later, their descendants moved south to warmer areas along the Hengduan Mountain Range. After the 13th century, the Pumi ethnic group gradually settled down in Ninglang, Lijiang, Weixi and Lanping counties.
In the late afternoon, you will be relaxed in Lijiang Old Town. And you can take a Taxi to Shuhe Old Town about 5KM away from Lijiang Old Town. Shuhe Old Town is a relic of Tea Horse Trading Caravan from the upper Mekong River to Lijiang , then to Tibet and India.
D7:Departure from Lijiang (B)
Drop off at Lijiang airport.End of tour.
