Highlights
This Shangrila is a plateau land with Lhasa as its capital. Lhasa is located at an elevation of 3,597 Meters. It is the second highest capital in the world after La Paz, Bolivia (3,660 Mts.). One of the most magnificent Royal Palaces anywhere in the world - the Potala Palace former home of the Dalai Lamas, is built on top of a rock in 1645 and has over 1000 rooms, 10,000 shrines and 200,000 religious statues.

Day by day itinerary
Day 1:Chengdu - Lhasa
Depart  Chengdu and transfer to Chengdu Shuangliu airport. Arrive at Lhasa Gonggar airport which is about 3000 meters high, drive to Lhasa urban, en route visit Brahmaputra valley, Buddha Sculpture made in 11th century and Tibetan village etc. Arrive in Lhasa and check in the Hotel. For the rest of  this afternoon you will have a rest and free sightseeing all by yourself. (No tour guide service today but the Tibetan guide will pick you up at Lhasa airport, please avoid violent physical activity.)
Day 2:Potala & Jokhang Monastery
Full day guided sightseeing, visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Monastery which famed as the holy place for Tibet Mandala, then souvenir shopping in Barkhor Street and photographing along Lhasa river side, later transfer to hotel.
Day 3:Yamdrok Lake and Phalkor Monastery  
Drive to Yamdrok Lake after breakfast, then drive to Phalkor monastery of Gyantse, castle etc. transfer to a Shigatse hotel.
Day 4:Zhangmu and Shakya Monastery  
Drive to Zhangmu after breakfast, en route visit Shakya monastery and see the Mt. Sheshapama, overnight at Zhangmu hotel.
Day 5:Mt. Everest and Rhongbuk Monastery
Drive to Mt. Everest and Rhongbuk monastery, overnight in Rhongbuk monastery hostel (sleeping bag).  
Day 6:Sunrise at Mt. Everest
See the sunrise morning at Mt. Everest, and transfer to a Shigatse hotel.
Day 7:Tashilhunpo Monastery
Drive to Tashilhunpo monastery after breakfast, and then back Lhasa overnight.
Day 8: Namtso Lake and Yangpachen Hot Spring
Drive to Damxung, en route visit Yangpachen hot spring, and drive to Namtso Lake, sleeping bag or the nearby tent hostel overnight.
Day 9:Sera Monastery  
Back Lhasa, visit Sera monasteryn in the  afternoon, transfer to hotel
Day 10:Drepung and Norbulingka
Visit Drepung in the morning, Norbulingka in the afternoon, transfer to hotel
Day 11:End tour
Fly to Chengdu, end tour.
