| Sichuan-Yunan-Tibet 11 days overland private tour |

This epic journey through Sichuan, across the Tibetan Plateau to Lhasa, has attracted explorers and adventurers, pilgrims, traders, and even missionaries for hundreds of years. The journey is a long one, and requires a certain dedication on the part of the traveller, as well as a certain resilience to bumps! We have considerable experience of this route and know exactly what is required in terms of transportation, accommodation, and red tape, not to mention the fascinating sights along the way. Every year from April to September, it is the best time to travel through some of the most attractive and beautiful areas in Sichuan and Tibet where you can enjoy the most typical Tibetan culture, life and landscape.
Day1. Chengdu-Kangding
Leave Chengdu, cross Ya"an, Mt. Erlang tunnel and Luding, en route see the Mt. Erlang and Dadu River, the drive duration costs 7-8 hours for the 300km. Overnight in Kangding, the hometown of Love song in China.
Day2. Kangding - Xindu Bridge - Litang - Daocheng
Depart Kangding after breakfast, cross the Mt. Zheduo at a elevation of 4200m, visit the Xindu Bridge which famed for the scenery, and pass the Mt. Gaoershi, arrive Yajiang in the afternoon. Approximately 6 hours drive with 150km tarred road, overnight in Yjiang. Drive to Daocheng, cross the Mt. Jianziwan, Mt. Kaizila and Litang, Daocheng grassland, see the famous Mt. Haizi. In this route, we see the spectacular Sichuan-Tibet Highway, snow mountain, plateau glacier and grassland. There is approximately 6-7 hours drive for the Yajiang to Daocheng 300km road, besides the 40km gravel road of Litang - Daocheng, the rest is all tarred.
Day3.Daocheng - Riwa village - Luorong Pasture.
Daocheng - Riwa (Shangrila) village, although 80km gravel road, however the roadbed is perfect, it drives approximately 1.5 hours. drive to the portal of Yading Nature Reserve, horse-riding to Chonggu Temple, see the scenery of Chonggu Temple and holy peak Xiannairi, and continued ride to Luorong Pasture, see the another holy peak Yangmaiyong, Xiannairi and Luorong Pasture Overnight in local Tibetan style guesthouse, 2-4 people a room not air-conditioned and independent water closet equipped.
Day4. Riwa village - Daocheng, overnight in Daocheng
After breakfast,back to Riwa village,then drive back to Daocheng,overnight in Daocheng.
Day5. Daocheng - Xiangcheng - Derong,overnight in Zhongdian.
After breakfast, drive approximately 10 hours to Xiangcheng, Derong, all gravel and concrete road for approximately 10 hours drive, etc.
Day6. Derong-Deqin
Appreciate the magnificient view of the Big Snow mountain and the Small Snow mountain.
Day7. Deqin-Mangkang
Drive to Mangkang, Appreciate the scenery of Nushan mountain and Lancang river while during driving.
Day8. Markham - Zuogong -Basu
From Markham to Zuogong, we have to get over the Lancangjiang river first. And then the Dongda mountains (6000meters), Zuogong to Bangda, we will pass the high land grassland which is located in more than 4000 meters above sea level. Farewell to the grassland, via the famous ninety-nine bending and down to the Nujiang river, this day"s trip will be full of challenge. We have to be accustomed to the temperature up and down and the altitude changes at the same time.
Day9. Basu - Bomi
We will pass Ranwugou ditch., which is an enormous ice glacier . The car have to get through from the glaciers very carefully , it will give us the most exciting impetus but without and danger. The Ranwu lake is the famous high land glacier lake, there are dense forest near the bank accompanied with the clean and clear water in the lake. The shadow of the forest in the lake, the birds play and fly freely near the water. What a fairy land displayed in front of us. The Pome county which located in the dense forest, will take our great attentionThe famous Himalaya mountain is located near this county, so we can easily see the snow mountains around the county. The most famous two are Nanjiabawa summit and Jialabei summit.
Day10. Bomi -Bayi
We will drive in the dense forest, and then we will get over one mountains which clad with snow and ice, we arrive another destination. Here lives the primeval Menba and Luoba nationality. Their way of living are much similar with the Tibetans, but they still keep their primitive way of life and the dwellings. Linzhi is the most attractive place in Tibet.
Day11. Bayi - Lhasa
Depart from Bayi, via the Mila mountains to valley of Lhasa, the grand Potala palace present in the front of you, and you understand that you have entered the sacred place, Lhasa.

3.As we travel in Tibet area where the economy is much more backward than other places, the food choice is limited, so we suggest you take some solid food. Most of local restaurant can only offer the simple Sichuan and Tibetan dishes.
4.The temperature varies greatly and sunshine can be very strong, please bring jackets, sunburn cream, medicine for altitude sickness etc.
5.For avoiding the altitude sickness, please don`t do violent exercises, drink more water and rest as much as possible after sightseeing.
6.We suggest you not go outside of your hotel during the night.
7.Most of the time you will enjoy the beautiful views in the car, and the driving hours are very long in this tour.
8.Tourists should take the high plateau altitude into consideration, if unexpected accident(injury, death etc.) happened, the Insurance Company will compensate according to the regulations not our company.
9.Most places along this line are short of water, some hotels can not provide enough hot water for bathing but you won憈 have problems in cleaning your mouth and face.
