Day 01: Arrival in Shanghai Our guide will pick you up at Shanghai airport and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Bund and Nanjing Road, time permitting. Accommodation: Sofitel Hyland Hotel Day 02: Shanghai Visit the Synagogue and the Shanghai Museum. After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The welcome dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. Accommodation: Sofitel Hyland Hotel Day 03: Shanghai - Kaifeng Morning is free and lunch is on your side. Visit the Yuyuan Garden in the afternoon. See off at the railway station by an overnight soft sleeper train to Kaifeng. (B) Accommodation: an overnight soft sleeper train Day 04: Kaifeng - Luoyang Pick you up at Kaifeng railway station. After breakfast, visit the Kaifeng Museum to see its well-documented exhibit on Jewish history, the Qingming Riverside Scene Park to see the Kaifeng Judaic Exhibition, a local Jewish family and the former Jewish quarter, the cemetery of Jin (Gilbert), another Jewish family and the Iron Pagoda. Drive to Luoyang. Accommodation: Hua Yang Plaza Hotel Day 05: Luoyang Visit the Chariot and Horse Pits, the Shaolin Temple and the White Horse Temple. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation: Hua Yang Plaza Hotel Day 06: Luoyang - Xian Visit the Longmen Caves. Take a soft seat train to Xian and transfer to the hotel. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served for you at the hotel this evening. (B+L+D) Accommodation: Hyatt Regency Hotel - downtown Day 07: Xian Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. After you enjoy the local speciality, the Dumpling Banquet, you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. Accommodation: Hyatt Regency Hotel - downtown Day 08: Xian Visit the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family. Accommodation: Hyatt Regency Hotel - downtown Day 09: Xian - Beijing Take a flight to Beijing and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Tian"anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quan Ju De restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. Accommodation: Crowne Plaza Day 10: Beijing Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. The a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area. Accommodation: Crowne Plaza Day 11: Departure from Beijing Visit the Summer Palace, time permitting. See off.
