The Shengjing Ancient Cultural Street is situated in Shenhe District. Itˇ®s 1,300 meters long, starting from the East Shuncheng Road and ending on the West Shun Road.
Made of black bricks and golden tiles, ornamented by carved beams and painted rafters in red and green, the buildings along the street have a rich flavor of the culture of Qing Dynasty. By carrying on the original ancient architectural style of the Imperial Palace, the buildings on both sides have an antique atomosphere in terms of its form and color. ˇˇˇˇ Along the cultural street, such cultural industries have been developed as tourist souvenirs, antiques, calligraphy and paintings, handicrafts and dresses that reflect national styles and characteristics. Large cultural activities with folk features are held at specified time such as the Emperorˇ®s royal progress, offering sacrifices to ancestors, lantern shows, yangko, walking on stilts and dragon dancing.
