Jingzhou Museum
Jingzhou Museum is located in the Kaiyuan Temple, in the west part of the city, with more than 120,000 historical relics, of which more than 200 are the state-first-grade relics and objects, including the Sword of Goujian, King of Yue, a more than 2,000-year-old male corpse of Western Han Dynasty in a good state of preservation, etc.

The museum was established in 1958, covering an area of 46,600 square meters. There is a rich collection of arts and antiques in the museum, among which the most famous are the relics in Old Stone Age and New Stone Age, the antiques in East Zhou dynasty and those of Qin and Han dynasty. The basic display is about the historical relics in Jingzhou area, centering on the 6,000-year Chu Culture. Exhibits mainly include bronze wares, weapons, lacquer wares and musical instruments.
